Groundbreaking Ceremony – May 1, 2025

Nak’azdli Development Corporation marked an important milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for the Mass Timber Housing Demonstration Project on May 1, 2025.

The event brought together leadership, development corporations, and community members from Nak’azdli and surrounding Nations to recognize the start of this project.

Following the ceremony, guests visited the Tl’Oh Forest Products facility for a walkthrough of the panel production process and an early look at one of the first panels for the home.

This project represents a meaningful step forward in advancing housing solutions and local capacity through mass timber construction.
